Keedysville Planning and Zoning

Minutes from November's meeting were read and approved.

Old Business: Arro sent an email about the status of the Comprehensive Plan. Dave Cotton has said the State has not sent their response out yet but the comments are completed. He will find out what the hold up is with the State's response.

P & Z has not heard anything about the online course yet from Maryland.

Matt gave Cannon Ridge HOA a copy of the P & Z Ordinances.

New Business: Fred & Cissy Slick, 23 Bedrock Lane, were present to request a permit for a swimming pool. They showed sketches and application that showed a pavilion, concrete footers (31 inches down) and fence (42"). There is no HOA. Serenity Pools and Spa is the contractor. They do not have a license yet for Maryland but they are in the process of obtaining one. The setbacks are good, but more detail is needed on the pavilion. Fred is licensed and will do the electrical work. They already have an existing yard fence. Tim stated that (1) the contractor will need to show proof of his license, (2) the plan for the pavilion needs to show more detail, and (3) we need more detail on the fence specifications. This completed, the permit can be issued. If there is any blasting they will need to get in touch with the Town.
