Keedysville Town Council
May 7, 2007
The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull,
Asst. Mayor Levey Council Members Brumage, Robertson, Walton and Town Administrator Simmons.
Minutes were read and approved.
The treasurer's report was as follows: $350,459.86
Remsburg Family Partnership was awarded contract that would dig for electrical conduit within the park, company advised
Mayor Hull that work would start within the next week or so.
Bulb electric was finishing up work within the park pavilion to prep for Remsburg's start. Mayor Hull reviewed pricing
for lighting within the park.
The citizens meeting regarding a new Town Hall were present to request some information and direction on numerous items.
Asst. Mayor Levey made a motion to appoint several citizens to serve on new Town Hall committee, those members are as
follows: Mary & Tim Robertson, Sue Gemeny, Shannon French, Rob Smith and Don Weigel. The motion continued with the
committee's task to gain a scope of work and design for new Town Hall for under 10,000. Or prepare to advertise and
accept bids for all work over 10,000. David Brumage 2nd all agreed motion passed unanimously.
Fred Frederick was present to request the Mayor and Council approval of a 1 lot subdivision of the Hope property located
on Mt. Hebron Road. P&Z has already granted approval. After review of the plat Mary Robertson made a motion to accept
plat and subdivision Richard Walton 2nd, all agreed motion passed.
Several citizens were present to voice complaints about ATV activity both on Bell Ln and Mt. Hebron Road, and the loud
noise associated with this activity. Information was given to Dep. Cain and he would follow up with suspected
participants.
