Keedysville Town Council

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull, Council Members Brumage, Robertson, Walton and Town Administrator Simmons.

Minutes were read and approved.

The treasurer's report was as follows: $330,1550.50

The FY 08 budget was presented and reviewed questions were answered and a few amendments were made. David Brumage made a motion to approve budget as amended, Mary Robertson 2nd all approved, motion passed.

A few donation requests were placed before the Mayor and Council to review. A donation for the Fairview Cemetery was requested, a motion was made by Richard Walton to donate $250., same as last year Mary Robertson 2nd all agreed.

A donation request for kid's equipment for the Ruritan Festival in August was requested. Amount requested this year was larger than pass years, due to the adding of equipment for the older children. A motion was made by Mary Robertson to fund the entire amount of $675 for the festival and 2nd by David Brumage, all agreed.

Discussion was held regarding donations to the area fire and rescue companies, to date no donations have been made. David Brumage made a motion to donate the same amount as past with $1000. going to each area fire and rescue company, Richard Walton 2nd all agreed.
